II GV No 7

  1. Stable with loft/accommodation over. Late C18, restored 1893 (date on keystone). Rubble stone with French tiled roof in front, stone slates behind.

2 Storeys, 2 bays. At left a round-arched cart entrance with voussoirs of 2 rows of white brick headers, dated keystone with initials C.D and stone impost blocks; boarded double doors. At right a later boarded garage entrance below a boarded loading door under segmental arch with similar white headers. To left-of this a large hinged iron hoist. Rear of cart passage flat headed under wood lintel. Projecting rear extension and extruded stone stair to landing with 2 doors, 1 boarded, the other 6-panel. Some brick patching on first floor and a modern window in left bay. One C18 roof truss remains. Included for group value only.
