EARDISLEY CP A 4112 (south side) SO 34 NW 6/50 Cider mill about 5 yards north of Great Parton Farmhouse GV II Cider mill, now store. Probably early C18 with mid-C19 alterations. Part timber-framed with brick infill and some weatherboarding on rubble base, part rubble with corrugated asbestos roof. Three bays aligned east/ west. Two levels. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces across upper corners, collar and tie-beam truss at west end with central strut and small raking struts across lower corners. Main south elevation: there is a shuttered ground floor window, two loft openings, a door and a stable door. A continuous lean-to rubble outshut with a catslide roof adjoins the north elevation with two ventilation slits in its north wall. Interior: mill and press have been removed. The cider mill is situated adjacent to Great Parton Farmhouse (qv) and screens it from the main road. Included for group value.
