TQ 2782 SE CITY OF WESTMINSTER GLOUCESTER PLACE, NW1 34/15 (East side) 14.1.70 Nos. 176 to 184 (even) G.V. II Terraced houses. c.1815-20 Portman Estate development. Stock brick, stuccoed ground floors to Nos. 182 and 184; slate roofs. 4 storeys and basement. 3-window wide fronts except for 2-window front of No. 176. Semicircular arched doorways to right; panelled doors in Doric columned jambs (pilasters to No. 176), cornice heads and fanlights, some patterned. Recessed sashes, most with glazing bars, under flat gauged arches. Stone coped parapet. Geometric-anthemion patterned balconies to 1st floor. Cast iron area railings with urn finials. Part of one of the most extensive sequences of Georgian terraced houses in London.
