TQ 2981 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER GREAT PORTLAND STREET, 46/28 W1 22.9.80 No. 78 and 80. - II Corner block of flats and shops. 1904 by W.H. White. Red brick with stone dressings, slate roofs. Free Flemish-Jacobean. 5 storeys. Both fronts 4 bays wide and with an octagonal corner turret. Ground floor has altered pilastered shop fronts. Mullioned-transomed windows with casement lights. Parapet to Great Portland Street raised in central shaped gable. Full height canted bay off centre to Riding House Street.
