Almshouse or tenement block. c1840-50. Stock brick with painted stone or stucco dressings, slate roof. Plain tripartite block composed of central pavilion and set back wings, screened by gateways. Simple "Tudor" window and door dressings. 3 storeys (with C20 dormered mansard). 3-window wide central pavilion and 2-window wings. Central 3-centred arch doorway to pavilion with stilted label mould on carved stops. All windows recessed glazing bar sashes in flat rusticated surrounds, with label moulds on pavilion. Painted stone or stucco cornice and blocking course. Gable capped piers to gateways. Monogram keystone below cornice to centre of pavilion with crown and R.S. over W.
