PARISH OF CHATSWORTH CHATSWORTH GARDENS SK 25702670 SK 25692669 6/57 Group of Statues and Vases on Lawn South of Chatsworth House GV II Group of eight statues, two vases and a bronze sculpture, forming a rectangle around the south lawn. c1820s. Facing down the vista is a bronze sculpture of Endymion by Chantrey, after the original by Canova. It is set on an ashlar plinth. The statues and vases were carved by Francesco Bienaime at Carrara, for the Sixth Duke of Devonshire. Ashlar pedestals with moulded bases and caps. Surmounted by Sculptures or vases, after the antique, in Carrara marble. The Gardens and Park are included on the Gardens Register at Grade I.
