Description

Farmhouse, now dwelling. Probably late medieval, ceiled C16, outshot added Cl8. Squared and coursed Ham stone, quoins, random rubble returns and chert in outshot with original rear wall of cob, double Roman tiled roof cooed verges with kneelers, brick stack extending over ridge between first and second bays right and left gable end; tall brick stack rising from outshot on loft return.

Farmhouse, now dwelling. Probably late medieval, ceiled C16, outshot added Cl8. Squared and coursed Ham stone, quoins, random rubble returns and chert in outshot with original rear wall of cob, double Roman tiled roof cooed verges with kneelers, brick stack extending over ridge between first and second bays right and left gable end; tall brick stack rising from outshot on loft return. 0pen hall house ceiled to 2-cell and cross passage, hall subsequently sub-divided with inserted stack, outshot addition Two storeys, 4 bays, 3-light casements, ground floor openings under wooden lintels, entrance second bay left with C20 pointed arch doorframe and door, plank door end bay right, Interior not seen, said to contain evidence of smoke blackened jointed crud trusses. Timber-framed partition with depressed 4-centre arch doorway blocked and a facsimile inserted in through passage wall to former kitchen with chamfered beans, one with step and runout stops, cloam oven on outshot side to left of fireplace with probable site of bacon curing chamber against front wall.
