CHARLBURY SHEEP STREET SP3519 5/94 (East side) Hone House. GV II

Farmhouse. C17. Coursed squared rubble; timber lintels; C20 tiled roof. 2 storeys, cellar and attic. 3-window range, symmetrical. C19 panelled door with integral top light under hood with modillion cornice on consoles. Windows have casements with glazing bars under replaced lintels. Wooden sill indicates blocked central first-floor window. 2 gabled dormers have 2-light casements. Steep-pitched roof with 2 gable end chimneys, the right one finished in brick. Probably C18 outshut to rear. Interior has stone barrel-vaulted cellar. Moulded beam in left ground-floor room; stop-chamfered girders on ground and first floor; neat complete set of stop-chamfered attic ceiling beams.
