SOUTH HINKSEY ABINGDON ROAD SP50SW (North side) 7/112 No.436 (Paisley House) - II Tollhouse, now house. Early C19, Roughcast; cambered tarred felt roof; rendered ridge and end stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 2-window range. C20 door with porch left of large C19 two-light casement with shutters: 6-pane first-floor sashes. 6-pane sash over tripartite sash on left side wall. Deep bracketed eaves with C20 soffit boarding to front and left. Range to right: of similar materials and sire, with stone end stack: canted bay with large C19 casements; later C19 two-light casement and round-headed stair light with stained glass: mid C19 door to entry in left side wall. Interior: 4-panelled doors. Early C19 fireplace to rear left. Partial inspection only.
