SU 17 SE OGBOURNE ST ANDREW VILLAGE CENTRE (west side) 7/72 Old Cottage GV II Cottage. Late C16-early C17. Banded sarsen and flint, thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays with rear wing on left, of sarsen, raised to provide attic in brick. Entrance at junction of rear wing, and in right gable in C20 brick porch. Timber paned windows, two dormers to front, one to rear. Stack between bays 2 and 3, and added stack to left gable. Thatch half-hipped. Internally: Central bay with chamfered ceiling beams and windbraces, and contains large stack with fine moulded mantel beam facing the narrow right bay. This room also has chamfered joists and was subdivided.
