BEDWIN STREET 1. 1594 (South Side) Nos 54 & 56 SU 1430 SE 2/234 II GV 2. Late C16 timber framed building. Refronted C18. 2 storeys colourwashed brick. Gable end steep pitch old tile roof. 1 hipped dormer window. Irregular casement windows. One 3 light Yorkshire casement on 1st floor. 2 plain doors, No 56 with plain surround and hood, No 54 with small bracketed hood. Interior: some of timber framing visible and good roof with trusses, V braces, some of original wattle and daub filling survives.

Nos 54 to 60 (even) form a group.
