John M. and Lillian Sommerer House Jefferson City, Missouri

I grew up here. My parents, John M. and Jean Huhman Sommerer bought this house from my grandfather when I was young. I lived there until 1969. My mother lived there until her death in 1999. We sold the house to Jeff Christianson, who then remodeled the home restoring it to its original floor plan. He also added on by enlarging the kitchen and adding addition bathrooms and laundries. Three years ago, the home was on the Historic Home tour and it drew more visitors than any other home on the tours.
