Description
Originally known as Cilurnum, Chesters Roman Fort was built around 124 CE as part of Hadrian's Wall in northern England. Its ruins include calvary barracks, a riverside bath house, and other structures scattered across a peaceful rural landscape, plus Chesters Museum, which displays Roman tombstones and other artifacts.
