The Halderman-Van Buskirk Farmstead is eligible under National Register Criteria A and C. Under Criterion A the property qualifies under agriculture as area of significance. The Halderman-VanBuskirk Farm, which was developed by two families associated with the development of Roann, is a well preserved example of a mid to late 19th century farm that continued its agricultural importance into the early 1900s. The property also qualifies under Criterion C under the area of significance of Architecture. The house is a particularly interesting example of the Gothic Revival style executed in a regional interpretation.
