Public House, probably built as dwelling. Core probably early C17, re-fronted early C19. Stucco over brick with plain tiled roof. 2-storeyed, 3-unit plan, with one unit to right of doorway, in moulded case. Casement windows of 3 lights.

This cozy country pub in the center of Great Milton dates from 1684. It features a thatched roof, original oak beams, inglenook fireplace and a large family garden.

Now owned by St. Johns College, the Lamb and Flag has been in operation since 1695. It was frequented by Thomas Hardy, J.R.R. Tolkien, and C.S. Lewis, and appeared regularly in Inspector Morse.
