Reed Opera House

Built of brick in an elegant Italianate design, the Reed Opera House was constructed for businessman and politician Cyrus S. Reed in 1869 as an opera house, theater, community hall, and hotel. Today it houses shops and restaurants.

Sentinel Hotel (Elks Lodge; Princeton Building)

Built in 1923 as the Elks Temple, the Princeton Building later housed the WPA, a WWII induction center, and several businesses before being incorporated into the Governor Hotel in 1992 and the Sentinel Hotel in 2012.

Adolph Block

Built in 1880, the Adolph Block building in downtown Salem was added to the National Register 100 years later. It consists of two buildings with colorful facades, which now house Wild Pear Restaurant and Cooke Stationery Company.

Harris Building

Built around 1913 for the drugstore owned by Robert L. Harris, a prominent Dayton leader, the Harris Building later housed the I.O.O.F. Lodge on the second floor.
