Converse Memorial Building Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA

Description
old-fashioned flower design element

Henry Hobson Richardson was the most important architect of his day and the first native American architect to attain truly international status. His libraries were designed not only to house books, but also to function as community cultural centers, art and natural history museums, and lecture halls. Converse Memorial is the last of Richardson's libraries (1885), and is generally regarded among his greatest works.
