Annala Round Barn Hurley, Wisconsin

The Annala Round Barn was built by my grandfather, Matt Annala. He was a Finnish a carpenter and stone mason by trade but because the fields were full of glacial rock, he became a dairy farmer and started building the round barn and milk house in 1917. It took five years to build. My grandparents had 12 children. I've spend many enjoyable years on the farm when my father was overseas. I was happy to see that the present owner has restored the barn.
