Blossom Lodge was a Colonial Revival home constructed in 1904 for Finley B. Hewes, the first mayor of Gulfport. It was added to the National Register in 2002 and destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Vicksburg National Military Park

The Vicksburg National Military Park preserves the battlefield of the Vicksburg Campaign in the Civil War. The extensive park is dotted with over 1,400 monuments and memorials and includes a museum showcasing the ironclad ship U.S.S. Cairo.

Windsor Ruins

Only 23 crumbling Corinthian columns remain of the largest antebellum Greek Revival mansion in Mississippi. Designed by David Shroder for cotton planter Smith Daniell, the mansion was completed in 1861 as part of a vast plantation.
