This medieval window shows a canon with a fur almuce over his left arms. The chant on the lectern is inverted, which suggests that the window was installed the wrong way round. In any case, it's a charming depiction, perhaps of the donor of this window, which came from the abbey of St Bertin in St Omer, France. It was buried during the French Revolution and made its way to England in the 1820s, and is now at Shiplake church, near Henley-on-Thames.
