1400 Market Street. Designed by LaBeaume and Klein and completed in 1934. It contained a 3,600 seat Opera House and a 11,500 seat Convention Hall. It was named after St. Louis Mayor Henry Kiel in 1943. The Convention Hall was demolished in 1992 and the Opera House is currently being re-furbished and will re-open in 2011 as the Peabody Opera House.
