Earlier 19th century with later additions and alterations. 2-storey, 5-bay (3-bay at 1st floor) farmhouse with 2-storey former cartshed and granary adjoined to left (now residential accommodation). Tooled pink sandstone rubble; harled addition at rear. Overhanging timber bracketed eaves; tooled quoins; droved long and short surrounds to openings. Single storey ancillary structure at rear. Single storey implement shed to S. FARMHOUSE, S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: boarded timber door off-set to left of centre; gabled, rustic timber porch with tree trunk uprights projecting to front. Single windows flanking entrance at ground; single window to outer right. 3 single windows at 1st floor with gabled dormerheads breaking eaves. E (SIDE) ELEVATION: gable end with single windows at both floors to left. N (REAR) ELEVATION: single windows at both floors off-set to left of centre. Blocked window at ground to outer left. Flat-roofed, single storey addition to outer right. Predominantly 9-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows; 16-pane windows to side; some modern glazing at rear; rear rooflights. Re-roofed 1999; grey tiled roof with fishscale banding; decorative brattishing to ridge. Coped, brick-built ridge and apex stacks; circular cans. INTERIOR: not seen 1999. CARTSHED AND GRANARY: 2-storey, 2-bay (3-bay at 1st floor). Tooled pink sandstone rubble; tooled dressings. S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: large, segmental-arched former cart opening to right; 3 small windows at 1st floor; modern small-pane glazing to doors and grey tiled roof with windows. Fishscale banding; decorative brattishing to ridge. ANCILLARY STRUCTURE: single storey, mono-pitched store at rear. Part sandstone rubble; part red brick. W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 2 boarded doors to left of centre. Part tiled, part fishscale-banded roof. INTERIOR: not seen 1999. IMPLEMENT SHED: single storey, 4-bay, rectangular-plan shed to S. Tooled pink sandstone rubble; tooled dressings. N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: infilled bay to outer left with boarded timber door off-set to left. Large square-headed openings in 3 bays to right with columns dividing bays. Grey slate piended roof. INTERIOR: not seen 1999. BOUNDARY WALLS: low coped rubble wall partially enclosing house to front; taller wall to side. E
