Built circa 1905. Symmetrical wide 2-storey red ashlar facade with shops at ground, former Maverton hall at basement level now divided for shop storage. Shop fronts all contained beneath ground floor cornice - 2 close doors with red granite-columned porches. Twin gabled centre, and outer bays with parapets, all with finials and with canted windows, their roofs linked with deep-eaved main (slate) roof; wide, depressed-arched windows in intermediate bays with leaded upper panels; corniced square stacks.
