Cottage, now Public House. Early C16, altered C18 and C19. Part timber- framed with painted brick infill, part painted brick; old tile gabled roof. Rectangular plan with 4 framed bays and C19 extension at right angles to main block. 2 storeys; Square chimney to north of centre on ridge and one to south. Road front: 3 bays of 3-light casement windows, those on ground floor with segmental heads, with entrance doors between outer and centre bays, that on right in C19 gabled wood porch. C19 extension on right. Interior: has frame visible on first floor with queen post and queen strut trusses; straight wind braces. A portion of the original wattle and daub has been left exposed, within a frame, as a feature.
