MULLION ANGROUSE FARM SW 61 NE 5/76 Angrouse Cottage (Formerly listed as Angrouse Farmhouse) 10 7 57 II Farmhouse. Circa early C18. Whitewashed stone rubble walls with upper walls of cob. Wheatreed thatched roof with hipped end on east and half hipped on west with 2 brick chimneys. Plan re-arranged to form hall on east with kitchen and pantry on west. Dairy across rear and staircase in wing projection on back. Store on right. Wing on west possibly earlier part of house. 2 storeys, asymmetrical. 3 window front. South front with projection on left. Single storey under same roof slope. 8-pane horizontal sliding sash window under slate hood mould with C20 4-pane top hung window to right. C20 timber entrance door in angle of projecting bay and main front with C20 white plastered open porch with sloping slate roof. Two 8-pane horizontal sliding sash windows to right. First floor with small 4-pane horizontal sliding sash window above entrance and two 8-pane horizontal sliding sash windows to right. Roof continues over store on right, converted into garage with C20 double timber doors and 6 square dove holes above. Brick chimney on ridge to left of east hipped gabled end. North front with circa early C19 single storey stone rubble extension on right with slate roof. Staircase projection lit by 4-pane horizontal sliding sash window. West front with ground floor 4-pane horizontal sliding sash window in centre with slate hood above. First floor with two 4-pane horizontal sliding sash windows. Bead moulds to thin ceiling beams running across house. Staircase with early C18 flat shaped fretted balusters (removed in lower part) square newels with moulded rail. Closed string. Roof timbers, where visible have been replaced. Source: Chesher dates house late C17/early C18.
