BISHOPS CANNINGS HORTON SU 06 SW (north side) 6/140 Bridge Inn

Inn and dwelling. Early C19. Painted diaper brickwork with a tiled roof. End bay of painted stone. Two storeys, house on left of 3 bays with central stair hall, 6-panelled door with canopy on brackets. Sixteen-paned sashes, but one 20-pane sash to first floor. Cogged platband and brick dentilled eaves. Gable stacks. The house extends to the right by 3 bays beyond a blocked doorway; C20 door to bar, and 16-pane sash windows. End bay is of stone rubble with a brick gable end and return to rear containing services and hay-loft over. Group value with the canal bridge (q.v.).
