Group of attached farm buildings comprising one large barn; one large animal house; (formerly a barn) 2 stable blocks with hay lofts over and with a wall attached on the south block; C17 and C18. Barns and cartshed are timber framed with later brickwork, and part brick infill. Stables are brick. All have old tile roofs, hipped and gabled. An attractive group of buildings enclosing 3 sides of the former farmyard, with an entry on the east; open on the south to the former farmhouse, listed separately (9/36). One storey and 2 storeys. Animal house: (former barn) forms the west side of the former farmyard. C17 altered C18. Timber frame of 9 framed bays, aisles added on east and west side. West front has 4 brick piers remaining from 2 former wagon entries. 5 rooflights on east roof slope. Interior: good quality timber frame with queen post roof, 2 sets of butt purlins; straight posts, and carpenters marks in correct sequence. The early C20 extension on the south end is of no special interest. Barn: on north side of former farmyard. Mid C18. Long rectangular plan of probably 10 bays, aisles and 2 wagon entries on north and south sides. The wagon entries on the south front have hipped roofs and large plank doors. North front: ventilation slots in aisle walls. Wagon entry on right has hipped roof, wagon entry on left is recessed. At left end is hipped end gable of adjoining stable block which is of 3 bays with 3 ventilation slots on first floor and two, 2-light openings ground floor. Stables: on east side of former farmyard. 2 blocks with entry to farmyard in centre, forming a symmetrical design. East side: coped pedimented gables each side of entrance with moulded brick string. Gable on left has circular blind opening in pediment; 2 openings with segmental arches on ground floor. The section to the left of the gable has a later aisle of no special interest; on the south return gable is a date of '1750' in grey brick headers. The gable on the right of the entrance has the pediment missing but has 2 blind openings with segmental openings on ground floor. The section to the right of the gable has 5 bays of segmental-arched blind openings, is slightly set back and is attached to the barn on the north. On the west front of the left-band block is a wall attached at right angles, approx 10 metres long and 3 metres high, partly rebuilt. Internal inspection of the barn was not possible at tine of survey.
