ATHERSTONE MARKET STREET SP3097 (North-west side) 9/73 Nos. 6, 8, 10,10A and 12 GV II Row of houses, now mostly shops. Early C19. Flemish bond brick with moulded wood cornice. No.6 on left has C20 render. Slate roofs; No.8 has C20 interlocking tiles. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 6-window range. No.6 has late C20 shop front. No.8 has late C20 six-panelled door and moulded wood surround with pediment. Late C20 top-hung window with flat arch to left. No. 10 has late C20 shop front. No. 10A has C20 glazed door and overlight, but with old moulded wood frame and original flat arch. No.12 has late C20 full-width shop front. Upper floors have late C20 top-hung sashes and windows; No.12 has sash, and 6-pane sash to second floor. Rendered rusticated flat arches with keyblocks throughout. Interiors not inspected.
