CROWLE CP LOWER CROWLE SO 95 NW 6/24 Barn about 10 yards north-east of Commandery Farmhouse
GV II Barn. C17. Timber-framed on lias limestone rubble plinth, weatherboarded with corrugated iron roof. Five framed bays aligned east/west, central wagon bay has opposed cart entries with double doors. South elevation facing farmyard has a stable door and 2-light casement to left of wagon bay and door to right of wagon bay at east end. Interior: framing of four panels from sill to wall- plate, large swept braces in lower corners; roof has two tiers of trenched purlins, straight wind-braces, and tie-beam trusses with two collars and vertical struts at gable ends. Intermediate trusses have an upper collar and two raking struts to the lower tier of purlins.
