House. Circa 1700, modified c1750. Rubble construction, rendered and scribed as ashlar, slate roof, dressed stone stacks with mouldings around base and caps. Rectangular on plan with segmental bow stairwell to rear. Symmetrical facade. 2-storeys, 5-bays, sashes with glazing bars in moulded stone architraves. Moulded stone doorcase with semi-circular head, flanked by Tuscan columns supporting open triangular pediment, one triglyph above each column. 6-panelled door with fanlight. Moulded stone eaves cornice, end pilasters. Hipped roof with 3 flat-head dormers. Left return shows evidence of earlier fenestration, 5 blocked openings. Continuous string course at head level of ground floor windows. Keystones of first floor windows run into cornice. Similar treatment to rear, which also has tall semi-circular head stairlight. Fine contemporary panelling to hall, original fireplaces in rooms flanking hall, staircase to rear.
