3 houses, now houses and shops (No.259 is the rear/upper floor of No.257). c1820, the central block remodelled c1900, with late C20 alterations. Brick, the left house colourwashed, with ashlar dressings and hipped slate roofs with 4 side wall stacks. 3 storeys and 3 storeys plus attics; 6 window range. Windows have brick flat arches. Recessed higher central block, 3 storeys plus attics, has deep modillioned wooden eaves. Shallow central bow window with three 12 pane sashes, behind a cast-iron balustrade. Above, two 12 pane sashes with keystones. Above again, a wide pedimented dormer with a 3-light casement behind a cast-iron balustrade. Flanking wings have each two 12 pane sashes, those to right partly reglazed, and above, two 9 pane sashes. Below, central pilastered wooden shopfront with corniced fascia with Brilliant lettering and recessed glazed door flanked by single segment-headed windows. To right, a passage opening, then a similar shopfront with unlettered fascia. To left, a much altered shopfront with central door flanked by single windows. INTERIOR not inspected.
