SHINFIELD SHINFIELD ROAD (east side) SU 76 NW 8/7 Lane End Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C16 altered and extended C18, C19 and C20. Brick, one end gable timber framed with brick infill; old tile gabled and hipped roof. L-plan with outshot and stair turret at rear in angle. 2 storeys with one chimney on ridge. Road front: cement plinth, brick oversailing and toothed eaves. 3 irregular bays late C18 3-light casement, centre 2-paned light opening side lights of one pane; similar on ground floor but with large square C19 square bay in middle with 4-light casement and one return light. C20 entrance door in stone surround to right of this. Rubbed brick segmental arches over windows.
