9/81 Gate piers, walls and railings by East Lodge

GV II

Gate piers, walls and railings. Early C19. Ashlar, wrought iron. 4 gate- piers on bases, with rusticated, vermiculated ashlar masonry, cornices and banded ball finials each with spike. Plain ashlar walls with coping, curved on plan, supporting wrought-iron railings. Finials alternately twisted on acanthus buds and with spear-heads rising from scrolls.
