11/9 Gatepiers and boundary wall returned to north-west corner of Steps. 4.2.58

Gatepiers, Possibly C18. Ham stone about 3m high. Square it plan. Chamfered plinth and moulded cornice, topped with swill obelisk on cavetto moulded plinth Wall, possibly C18 returned to north west corner of Steps (q.v.), squared and courser local stone with concrete coping. Primarily included for group value with Steps. Wall abutting east gate pier rebuilt and not of special interest.
