LEICESTER ROAD 1. 5397 Stable Block at Brownsover Hall SP 57 NW SP/628 II 0/628 GV

  1. Stable block on west side of court-yard. Early to mid-C19. Red brick, slate hipped roof, brick eaves cornice. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Two similar doorways; one to left and one in centre with glazed fanlights with glazing bars set within basket arches: boarded stable doors. A bulls-eye window with pivotting sash to either side of left hand fanlight. To right, a pair of vertical boarded coach doors under a heavy timber lintol. On first floor three windows set within basket arches. Vertical bars to sides and a central casement to each.
