Ross Tavern Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA

c. 1690: Construction of a house in downtown Ipswich that would later become part of Ross Tavern
1735: Downtown house (Ross Tavern) is moved to a location near the Choate Bridge
1940: Daniel Stone Wendel, an amateur architectural historian, moves Ross Tavern to Jeffrey's Neck Road and joined with another historic house
c. 1940: Wendel moves the Lord-Collins House (c. 1675-1700) to Jeffrey's Neck Road
March 9, 1990: Ross Tavern added to National Register of Historic Places
