Housed in a solid Romanesque Revival built for the purpose in 1890, the Confederate Memorial Hall Museum is Louisiana's oldest museum. It contains one of the world's largest collections of artifacts from the Confederacy and Civil War, including uniforms, weapons, daguerrotype photos, and President Jefferson's slippers.
