Meier and Frank Building Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA

Designed by A.E. Doyle and covered in gleaming white terra cotta, this impressive 15-story edifice was built in 1909 for the Meier & Frank department store. Restored in 2005-07, it now houses such tenants as The Nines hotel, Muji, and Google.

Originally home to the Meier & Frank department store, this impressive edifice is covered in gleaming white terra cotta and rich decorative details. Since a major renovation in 2006, the building has been occupied by Macy's on the bottom five floors and The Nines luxury hotel on the upper nine.
