HRH Edward Prince of Wales ceremonially hammers in the last rivet of the Forth Rail Bridge in Scotland. Benjamin Baker and Gustave Eiffel are in attendance.
1935
The Forth Rail Bridge appears in the Hitchcock film, "The Thirty-Nine Steps."
1996
Railtrack (now Network Rail) commissions a structural and maintenance assessment of the Forth Rail Bridge.
1998
Major program of refurbishments begins on the Forth Rail Bridge
