Located on the western outskirts of Rapid City, South Dakota, the Chapel in the Hills is a full-scale replica of the 12th-century Borgund Stave Church in Norway.

This unique chapel was built in 1969 by a local benefactor of Norwegian descent and is used by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Worship services are held here every evening in the summer.

Also on the site is a museum consisting of an original log cabin owned by Norwegian immigrants (moved here from another site) with period furniture. There is also a small gift shop with friendly staff that offers books on Norway and other subjects.
