North Waltham, England

Early C19. Two storeys, 1.3 windows. Once a symmetrical house but with an addition (in style) at the west side. Old tile roof, hipped at ends, brick dentil eaves.

Late C19. School in Gothic style, and some unobtrusive later additions.

Milestone. C18. Painted weathered stone with cambered head and sides inscribed: 15 to Stockbridge, 52 to London and 6 to Basingstoke.

C18, altered C19. Two storeys. Symmetrical main front (south-east) of 1.3.1 windows, the sides having been altered to produce gables. Tile roof, cusped bargeboards to the gables, the other eaves having brick dentils.

C16, C17 and modern. One storey and attic. Thatched roof. Exposed timber frame with part rendered part painted brick infill, and painted brick other (modern) walling. Casements.

1854: Traditional house of late date. Two storeys, 3 windows. Thatched roof; hipped at north 1/2-hipped at the south end, eyebrows. Red brick walling in Flemish bond, cambered ground-floor openings, cement plinth. Modern casements.

C18. Long range now one dwelling; one-storey and attic, 6 ground-floor windows. Hipped thatch roof with eyebrows. Painted walling of brickwork, but some flint at the east side, small casements. Boarded door in solid frame.

Rebuilt 1865, by J Colson. A Gothic Revival church on a medieval site, with the re-use of some older features of the C13, C14, C15. Chancel with small north vestry, nave with north aisle, south porch and timber-framed bell turret.
