Chiesa di San Francesco (Church of St. Francis) Trani, Italy
Constructed around 1176 by Benedictine monks, the Chiesa di San Francesco (Church of St. Francis) in Trani features a central octagonal dome flanked by two pyramidal domes, all covered in the same type of small stones used on the famous trulli houses of Puglia. The church became Franciscan in the 16th century, thus its present name.
