Brick Baptist Church St. Helena Island, Beaufort County, South Carolina, USA

The Brick Baptist Church was built in 1855 by enslaved people, whose fingerprints can be seen in the bricks. After the Civil War, the church was given to them and it became one of the first schools for freed slaves.
