The monument comprises a standing stone of prehistoric date. It is being rescheduled to clarify the extent of the scheduled area.
The monument lies in an office garden, surrounded by low planting, at around 40m OD. It comprises a standing stone measuring about 3m high, 0.8m wide and about 0.6m thick, tapering slightly towards the top. The stone is a ritual monument dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age periods and is likely to have formed part of a larger complex associated with the nearby Huly Hill burial cairn, which lies 300m to the W.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the stone and an area around it within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 5m, centred on the stone. The position of the area proposed for scheduling is marked in red on the accompanying map extract.

The monument is of national importance because of its potential to contribute to our understanding of prehistoric ritual practices.
