Description

This medieval monastery among lavender and sunflower fields is best known for its association with Van Gogh, who was treated for mental illness here in 1889–90. It is still a clinic today, but the Romanesque cloister, Van Gogh's room, and the grounds that inspired the artist are open to the public.
