Designed by Whidden & Lewis and built in 1900 for the Failing Estate, the Postal Building acquired its current name in 1927. Its Italian Renaissance style features ornate decoration on the facade and cornice.

Occupying 6,400 square feet at 351-373 State Street, the Ferrar Building dates from 1917. From the 1950s to 1980s it was home to Salem fixture “The Smoke Shop.” Today it houses The Arbor gift shop and a realtor's office.

Oregon Pioneer Building (Huber's Cafe)

Originally named the Railway Exchange Building, the Oregon Pioneer Building was designed by Portland architect David Chambers Lewis and constructed in 1910. Huber's Restaurant (founded 1879) has been a tenant since 1910.
