Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold) Seville, Spain

Perched on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, this watchtower dates back to Almohad Spain. It served as a defensive structure to keep protect the then Muslim city from attack. Today it houses a mediocre naval museum, which is not really worth the Euros one has to pay.
