Of the 2 sarcophagi in the Gordon Tomb, one is uninscribed and undated. This is the burial place of Jean Christie, wife of the 4th Duke of Gordon, who died 21 August 1824. She was a native of Fochabers and of humble origin. The second tomb is that of her son Adam, of Newtongarrie (Aberdeenshire), who died at Burnside, near Buckie, 14 August 1834. Upgraded B to A, 24.3.88
