5 terraced houses. c1830. Stuccoed. Interlocking tiled roof to Nos 63 and 65, Welsh slate roof to Nos 67, 69 and 71. Brick stack to left of No.63 and right of No.69, rendered stack between Nos 65 and 67 and to right of No.71. 3 storeys and basement, 7 bays (2nd and 5th bays blinded). On right of No.63 and left of No.65 is a recessed 2-panelled door, right of No.67 a C20 door and on left of No.69 a 6-moulded and fielded panel door, each with overlight and approached by 6 steps with attached railings. Each pair of doors Nos 63/65 and Nos 67/69 is set within a wide central porch with flanking pilasters and cornice. To left of Nos 63 and 67, right of Nos 65 and 69, 71 each has a 16-pane sash set under flat arch. First floor has sillband course and similar 16-pane sashes. Second floor, each has smaller 8-pane sash except No.71 with 16-pane sash. On right return to St James Road No.71 has at centre 5 steps approaching panelled door with fanlight, 8-pane first floor sash and 4-pane second floor sash, wide stack at centre of facing gable.
