Two houses at end of row. Late C18 or early C19. MATERIALS: Painted ashlar front, dressed stone elsewhere, pantile roof. PLAN: Property set down from pavement with semi-basement to areas, but rear develops full height through drop in ground level, main range higher than flush wing to right. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, lower wing has two wide spaced sixteen-pane sash at upper level, and main range has two sashes above one and two, all twelve-pane. On area of paving at upper level with steps, stone to No.42, and with simple iron railings, two part-glazed panelled doors in cheeked double porch with slab hood, cheeks and hood with shaped blocking have reeded edges. Paving bridges lower storey, and side entry doors at area level. Continuous mid sill band, and higher range has moulded cornice with blocking course and parapet. Main coped gables each has two ashlar stacks, and small stack to hipped right end. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
